The purpose of the club is to be able to meet others with an interest in trawlers and possibly make some contact between us trawler owners. It seems that interest in trawlers in this country is increasing. Several new trawlers are sold today in parallel with increasing imports. At the same time, there are more importers on the Norwegian market. In the trawler's home country of America, there is a considerable amount of trawlers, and there, too, interest is increasing.
There are a large number of types and makes and all are guaranteed not to be mentioned here. The trawler is basically based on a fishing boat hull of American origin. Experience has been used for boats used for sea fishing in open waters.
Many people think trawlers are only made in America, but most are made in other countries for the American market. The characteristic of a trawler is the large engine compartment, the large diesel capacity to be able to travel over greater distances, the ability to walk around the entire boat without fear of falling overboard and an interior designed and built for pleasure and recreation . If you are going to buy a new trawler, you can have the boat furnished to your liking from certain suppliers.
The club's mission and further purpose is to link trawler owners together and try to arrange local meetings around the country.
