Nyhet: Egenutviklet arrangementskalender!

Welcome to Motorhobby.no, the Norwegian site for most motor enthusiasts!

For more than ten years, several people have occasionally been collecting information about Norwegian motor museums and collections, both online and in the media. As far as we know, a comprehensive nationwide overview has not been made, neither in Norway or in neighboring countries. This has been missed, both domestic, by our foreign motor enthusiasts and also by many tourists.

The work on making such a web site was intensified late last year by Erling Storstrøm after an initiative from Dag Jarnøy and Tor Ivar Volla, the editor of Norsk Motor Veteran. This resulted in a preliminary list of many more of the museums and collections, that was printed and distributed as an Appendix to Norsk Motor Veteran No. 1/2014.

Welcome as a new user of Motorhobby!

Motorhobby.no aims to present the most complete overview of the motoring hobby online - including events - in Norway. On our pages you will find - among other things:

Overview of clubs, museums, collections, workshops and much more within the motoring hobby
You can search by category, county, type, etc. Each registration has its own page with information such as address, phone number, email, web pages and map location. The latter allows you to get directions from anywhere in Norway and to the listed address.

Overview of motoring related events
Between May and October, Motorhobby has more than 500 motoring related events registered at any given time in our event calendar. We register and publish events from all over the country (and occasionally abroad). The events are linked to the organizer(s) and venues, so that you can find them in the event calendar and on the organizer's information page at Motorhobby.

News about the hobby and the site
On occasion, something happens that we think the motoring people should know about. We also continuously develop our web pages and will inform you of the new developments.

Map showing where registrations are located
We try to find out where clubs have their meetings, where you can find museums, etc. These locations can be found either on the page of the registered entity or you can go to an overview map and see listings per county.

Top lists
Do you want to know which association has the most members? Or which club has the most members in your county? Our top lists give you the answer!

We hope that you will make use of these pages and will recommend them to others, both at home and abroad. Also, please follow the pages as they evolve and tell us about mistakes or missing items, things you want us to develop or listings we need via tip form . Also, please use the contact form if you find information that is incorrect or should be changed.
